South Texas Arts Fair

The City of Edinburg Cultural Arts Department and the Edinburg Arts Foundation proudly announce the inaugural South Texas Arts Fair, set to take place on Friday and Saturday, June 13–14, 2025, at the Arts, Culture, & Events Center located at 315 W. McIntyre Street in Edinburg, Texas.

This juried event invites visual artists working in all mediums to apply, with a submission deadline of Monday, May 5, 2025. Selected artists will be invited to partake in the inaugural fair where they will be able to sell their artwork to the public. Artists will retain 100% of their sales.

Awards along with cash prizes will be presented in various categories, including Best of Show, “Best In” Categories, and Honorable Mentions.

The South Texas Arts Fair will kick off with an exclusive VIP Reception on Friday, June 13, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., offering guests a first look at the exhibiting artists, live entertainment, and refreshments. Tickets for the VIP event are available for just $60, promising an elegant evening celebrating creativity and community. The fair will then open to the public on Saturday, June 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., welcoming art lovers of all ages to explore a diverse array of works from talented artists across the region.

Artist Eligibility

The South Texas Arts Festival invites visual artists working in all mediums to apply. All artwork must be original and handcrafted by the exhibiting artist. No commercial, mass-produced, or imported work will be accepted.

    • Five (5) images of recent work

    • Artist Statement (200 words max)

    • Artist CV or Resume

    • Artist Headshot

    • Medium description of materials and technique (500 words max)

    • $40 Non-Refundable Jury Fee

  • Applications will be reviewed by a panel of arts professionals in a blind jury process.
    Judging criteria includes:

    • Originality and creativity

    • Quality of workmanship

    • Consistency of body of work

    Artists will be notified of jury decisions via email by Monday, May 26, 2025.

  • Juried awards along with cash prizes will be presented during the VIP Opening Reception, including:

    • Best in Painting

    • Best in Mixed Media

    • Best in Photography

    • Best in Ceramics

    • Best in Sculpture /3D

  • If you are selected to participate in the inaugural South Texas Arts Fair on June 13 to 14, 2025, you must decide and provide your booth fee by June 2, 2025.

    • $200: 10'x10' Standard Booth (one booth per artist)

    • $500: 20'x10' Standard Booth (one booth per artist)

    • Artists retain 100% of their sales. Texas State Sales Tax is the responsibility of each artist.

    • Printed artist guide & online directory listing
