The City of Edinburg's Art_Works Program is excited to announce six open positions in our Arts, Culture, and Events Center! We are hiring 2 Cultural Event Supervisors, four Logistical Assistants, two Production Assistants, various instructors, and support staff - costumers, seamstresses, and stage hands. You will be responsible for assisting the Cultural Arts Staff with tasks related to the setup and breakdown of events and programs in the City of Edinburg Cultural Arts Department, including festivals, classes, community art projects, live theatre and music performances, children's arts programming, Lighting and sound set up, managing the light and sound boards, set up of stages or equipment, art classes, storage of equipment, setting up and breaking down large structures, bartending as needed, and assisting in setting up gallery exhibits. You will work in a vibrant, busy environment in a shared office that is open to the public. There are opportunities to work in arts administration, attend performances, exhibits, receptions, and festivals, and be part of our collaborations with other community groups.

Production Assistant Scope of Services:
Assist with production needs for City of Edinburg Cultural Arts events and programs as well as venue rental production management upon availability.
Such service will include but not limited to:
1. Provide light and sound run services for productions at the Edinburg Municipal Auditorium (EMA), and The Arts and Cultural Events (ACE) Center or any event/program the Production Specialist requires.
2. Collaborate with Cultural Arts Production Specialist to implement strategies for enhancing production at EMA rentals and programs.
3. Assist regularly with equipment maintenance and inventory.
4. Coordinate production logistics of cultural events and programs.
5. Develop lighting design and production for summer and fall programs.
6. Assist in Cultural Events and Festivals and attend necessary meetings.
Logistics and Asset Assistant Scope of Services:
Assist in the setup and breakdown of events and programs, including festivals, workshops, community art projects, live theatre, music performances, children's arts programming, art classes, storage of equipment, setting up and breaking down large structures, bartending as needed, and assisting in setting up gallery exhibits.
Such services will include not be limited to:
1. Assemble and dismantle tents, stages, booths, tables, chairs, sound equipment, lighting, and other large structures for festivals, performances, and community art events.
2. Assist with the installation of art pieces, hanging works, adjusting lighting, and preparing the gallery space for exhibitions.
3. Assist in the design, assembly, and decoration of parade floats for community events and festivals.
4. Transport equipment, parade floats, and materials using trailers.
5. Assist with technical setup (e.g., sound, lighting, props) for theatre productions, concerts, and other live performances.
6. Set up materials and equipment for arts programs, community art projects, and classes. Help manage participant check-in and other logistical tasks.
7. Provide assistance during workshops, helping instructors with materials, class setup, and clean-up.
8. Aid in the coordination of festivals and vendor lineup, ensuring that venues and equipment are properly set up, and assist with troubleshooting on the day of the event.
9. Assist in scheduling, managing communication, and maintaining records related to events, classes, and performances.
Art Instructor Scope of Services
Assist with art instruction needs for City of Edinburg Cultural Arts events and programs as well as classes and workshops.
Such service will include but not limited to:
1. Provide instruction services for classes at the Edinburg Municipal Auditorium (EMA), and The Arts and Cultural Events (ACE) Center or any event/program the CITY requires.
2. Collaborate with the Art Program Supervisor to implement strategies for enhancing instruction at all programs and events.
3. Assist regularly with instruction in various art disciplines.
4. Coordinate with students and collaborate with other instructors and volunteers.
5. Assist to administer supplies and materials for all students, analyze and provide data to City.
6. Review registrations and confirm attendance at fairs, workshops, and classes.
7. Assist in generating lesson plans and schedule of classes
