Edinburg to Celebrate Black History Month with Vibrant Community Event

The City of Edinburg is proud to announce its annual Black History Month celebration, honoring the achievements, culture, and contributions of the Black community. This special event will take place at the Edinburg Arts, Culture, and Events Center, offering an inspiring and educational experience for attendees of all ages. Black History Month is part of the city’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity and cultural awareness, promising a month filled with meaningful connections and enriching activities.

Join us for an engaging lineup of keynote speakers, activities, displays, and interactive events designed to celebrate the rich history and vibrant future of Black culture. From book readings and cooking demos to historical displays and local author booths, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Join us for our Black History Month Author Reception on Thursday, February 13, from 6 – 8 PM at the ACE Building, 315 W McIntyre Street in Edinburg! Come and listen to inspiring book readings from local authors Sabrina Walker Hernandez, Angela Rosko, Jane Nk Nwanne, and Theresa Gatling. Meet the authors, enjoy their readings, and connect with fellow book lovers and literary enthusiasts. Don’t miss this special evening of storytelling and community!
