Art_Works
The City of Edinburg is proud to offer a range of exciting career, internship, volunteer, and freelance opportunities in the arts through our Art_Works Program. Art_Works is designed to connect talented individuals with dynamic roles that contribute to the thriving cultural scene in Edinburg, offering the chance to grow professionally while making a lasting impact on the community. Whether you're an artist, administrator, event coordinator, or educator, the City of Edinburg has a place for you in our arts and culture initiatives.
Through Art_Works, we promote job openings for various positions in our Arts, Culture, and Events Center, including full-time, freelance, and talent. Opportunities range from administrative roles to program coordinators, public art managers, and event specialists. For those just starting their careers, our internship program provides hands-on experience in arts management, event coordination, and public art projects, offering invaluable exposure to the behind-the-scenes work that supports the arts in Edinburg.
In addition to traditional employment, Art_Works also offers opportunities for volunteers and paid contracted work. Local artists and creatives can apply for contracts to participate in public art installations, community workshops, and special events such as the South Texas International Film Festival. Volunteers are always welcome to assist with festivals, parades, and community art programs, helping to support the city’s cultural initiatives while gaining unique experience in the field. Whether you're looking to contribute your skills on a part-time, full-time, or contract basis, Art_Works provides numerous pathways to becoming an integral part of Edinburg's vibrant arts community.
