RGV Dance Competition

Get ready to kick up your boots and twirl to the rhythm at the Rio Grande Valley Dance Competition, coming to Edinburg on Saturday, February 22, 2025! Presented by the esteemed Edinburg Cultural Arts Conceptos Dance Ensemble, this day-long celebration of movement is set to light up the Edinburg Arts, Culture, and Events (ACE) Center located at 315 W McIntyre St, Edinburg, TX 78541, with a fusion of Texan and Mexican flair. Open to the public from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, the heart of Texas will beat to the sounds of traditional and contemporary dance styles, welcoming school districts, dance groups, and spectators to join in the celebration. Tickets are $5 each, and children under 10 are free. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

Nuestra Herencia Dance Concert

The City of Edinburg’s Conceptos Dance Ensemble presents a Nuestra Herencia dance concert Saturday, September 21 at 7:30pm in the Edinburg Municipal Auditorium at 200 N. 7th Ave in Edinburg. Special guest ensembles include the ECISD Johnny G. Economedes High School Grupo Folklorico Jaguar under the direction of Rodrigo Leal and PSJA-ISD North Early College High School Grupo Folklorico Ichtequi under the direction of Jose Hinojosa.

This two-hour dance concert celebrates Hispanic Heritage month with vibrant music and costumes. This joyful experience is perfect for the whole family. Tickets are $10 each, and children under 10 are free. Tickets are available online at edinburgarts.com/conceptos or at the door.

Edinburg Conceptos Dance Ensemble is under the direction of Raúl Galván, supported by Cati Gómez. Conceptos was incorporated into Edinburg Cultural Arts programming in 2023, after many years of supporting the City of Edinburg by participating in events and festivals.
