Catrin & Catrina (ADULT Category)

Adults are never too old to dress up! And now that your childhood days are over, here’s your chance to still get some recognition for all that effort you put into your amazing DIY costume. The winning selections for this category are awarded to the most original costume worn by those 16-years-old or older. Costume submission must be family friendly.

Catrincito & Catrincita (CHILDREN’S Category)

This category is for children, tweens, and teens from 2-years-old to 15-years-old in age. Get the help of your parent or guardian to submit a photo of you in your brilliant costume along with a summary describing your masterpiece.

Contest Rules

Entries will be accepted starting Monday 10/19/2020 to Wednesday 10/28/2020 at 2 PM. Entries do not automatically appear once your entry is submitted. Photos will be posted on Friday October 23rd to receive Votes. Each comment will count as 1 vote (only one comment per profile will be counted). The voting ends on Friday October 30th at 4 PM.

There will be no hate symbols of any kind, political and religious statements are also not be allowed.

Costume Description

Write a creative costume description that provides as much information about your costume as possible. You can include the source of your costume inspiration, how did you make your costume, what materials did you use.

Face paintings and props will be allowed to add on as your Attire.

Finalists and Winners

Winners will be announced by Friday October 30th at 4 PM.

Your email address, and contact information will not be displayed on Costume Wall or shared with any third-parties. By entering the contest, you give The City of Edinburg permission to use your contest entry for marketing purposes for Dia de Muertos: Los Muertos Bailan Online Festival.
