Nuestra Herencia Dance Concert
The City of Edinburg’s Conceptos Dance Ensemble presents a Nuestra Herencia dance concert Saturday, September 21 at 7:30pm in the Edinburg Municipal Auditorium at 200 N. 7th Ave in Edinburg. Special guest ensembles include the ECISD Johnny G. Economedes High School Grupo Folklorico Jaguar under the direction of Rodrigo Leal and PSJA-ISD North Early College High School Grupo Folklorico Ichtequi under the direction of Jose Hinojosa.
This two-hour dance concert celebrates Hispanic Heritage month with vibrant music and costumes. This joyful experience is perfect for the whole family. Tickets are $10 each, and children under 10 are free. Tickets are available online at edinburgarts.com/conceptos or at the door.

RGV Dance Festival
The RGV Dance Festival is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2025, 8am-8pm. The morning begins with workshops and masterclasses with expert teachers from around the world. Adjudication begins after lunch, with the top groups being selected to perform in the evenings showcase concert with Conceptos. Fee for each participating group is $600 and you can pay with a PO. Each participant will receive an RGV Dance Festival t-shirt and a medal. This festival is open to high schools, universities, colleges, and private studios and all dance genres. A separate date will be selected for elementary and middle school adjudication.
Edinburg Conceptos Dance Ensemble is under the direction of Raúl Galván, supported by Cati Gómez. Conceptos was incorporated into Edinburg Cultural Arts programming in 2023, after many years of supporting the City of Edinburg by participating in events and festivals.
