Welcome to the 18th year of The Big Squeeze! We’re thrilled to announce some exciting updates for this year’s showcase.
As part of the showcase, we are extending invitations to select up to six student/teacher pairs to perform at each event (Edinburg, Austin, and Dallas). Additionally, for the Accordion Kings & Queens (AKQ) showcase, three student-teacher pairs will have the unique opportunity to take the stage.
We are dedicated to supporting and showcasing the talents of young accordionists statewide, and this year’s format, including community charrettes, reflects our commitment to fostering a vibrant accordion community. The Big Squeeze continues to celebrate the diverse musical expressions of talented young artists.
Thank you for being part of The Big Squeeze community, and we look forward to showcasing the remarkable talents of accordion enthusiasts across Texas. Stay tuned for more details, and don’t forget – The Big Squeeze Contest will make its return in 2025!
