The Write Stuff
Community Writters Group
Do you constantly formulate new and exciting story ideas in your head? Are your journals filled with half-finished or barely-started manuscripts? If so, you may have the “Write Stuff” the Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library in Edinburg is looking for.
The Write Stuff Writing Club is for veteran wordsmiths and new writers to collaborate and create together. Club members meet at the library every third Wednesday of the month. Meetings feature local authors and professors who offer advice on how to get published and encourage sharing and criticism between writers. All you need is an idea and a desire to write it down. In November, the club will participate in National Novel Writing Month, a one-month “writing sprint” during which the goal is to write 50,000 words. Membership to the Write Stuff Writing Club is open to anyone over 18 years of age and is free of charge.
