Edinburg, Texas–The Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library invites the community to the 2nd Annual Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District Art Teachers Exhibit. This year, the exhibit will feature the work of 13 school district Art teachers. It’s happening on February 9, at 6 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.
The Library hosts a variety of exhibitions through its Cultural Arts Division on a monthly basis to provide artists a space to exhibit their work and share it with Edinburg and surrounding communities. The public is invited to visit the exhibit throughout its duration and is highly encouraged to attend the free exhibit reception on January 23. The artists will attend the function and will answer questions about their artwork.
Participating art teachers include Humberto Rincones, Marcel Kleinertz, Ramon Ramirez, Elizabeth Puentes, Lorena Vela, Amanda Muñoz, Melanie Glasper, Adam Cantu, Lauro Hinojosa, Manuel Saenz, Carolina Avila, Marco Sanchez, Edgar Hinojosa, and Tina Cavazos. These teachers continue to practice their style of artwork while encouraging their students to express themselves through the arts by giving them the skills to be successful.
